Shipping Policy:
Have you heard - it's a global village! Therefore, we can ship to almost any address in the world! Now if you're at some remote site out on the Serengeti that might be a bit more problematic but we'll try. (And hey, if you are at some remote site on the Serengeti and you have the opportunity to stamp or scrapbook with something you buy from us, send us a picture - we'd love to see what your working on out there!)
We ship via Fedex, UPS, USPS First Class or Priority Mail, or for you on the Serengeti and points beyond that would be International First Class or Priority Mail. (Using the rate calculator will let you pick the best pricing for your needs.) Orders placed before 2:00 CST usually ship same day. 2:00 CST. Not 2:05. Well, maybe 2:05 but definitely not 2:06. We've got to set some limits or next it's going to be people on the phone begging, "Hey, it's only 2:06, that's close enough. Pretty please!" The next thing you know it's stretching to 2:08, 2:09 and then the day just gets all shot to heck. For the procrastinators out there or those on the West Coast, you'll just have to wait until the next day for your stuff to ship. (Hey, if it's that important to you - get up earlier.) Besides check out our return policy as to why it's not such a good idea to beg us to ship your order after 2:00.) And since we are softies, and understand if you have a project you are working on and absolutely need your stuff, contact us and we'll see what we can do. By the way, offering to send chocolate will almost always work.
Oh, we should mention (otherwise we'll be getting emails and phone calls from people wondering when they're going to get their stuff) that the USPS suggests you should allow 3-5 days for them to deliver your package. Unless you're on the Serengeti. You might want to give them an extra day or two. Their slogan doesn't mention sand or wildebeests. Now you don't need to email or call.
Returns:
We want you to be 100% satisfied with anything you buy from us.
No really. 100%.
And we're not just saying that 'cause that's what the marketing books tell us to say.
Yep, 100% satisfaction.
Of course we know there are some people out there that just can't be pleased. We've met a few of them. Not that we're implying you're one of them.
Now, just like the shipping policy, we have to set some limits:
1. Merchandise needs to be returned within 10 days. Ugh, do we have to say it - 10, not 11. Refunds will be given for damaged or defective goods. Exchanges will be made if we somehow goofed in filling your order. Although that's not likely to happen. Unless you called at 2:06 begging us to fill your order. Then perhaps we might have been a little flustered and somehow goofed in hurrying to get the order in the mail. See that's why 2:05, not 2:06!
2. Contact us at returns@inkognitoart.com to let us know if you want a refund or a replacement. We'll email you back with return instructions. If you are exchanging an item and you happened to have kept the packing slip in the giddy excitement of receiving your goodies, you'll need to send that back to us with the item. (No, we're not sure why you need to send the packing slip back. But that's what all the big name sites ask you to do. There must be some corporate mystical reason for sending this sacred piece of paper back with the item.) Of course if you threw it (the packing slip, not the goody) away and it's been covered with banana peels and soggy Cheerios, go ahead and keep it. Our gift to you. The packing slip. If the goody has been covered with banana peels and soggy Cheerios, don't even ask for a refund or replacement. This sounds like a personal problem, not a manufacturing defect. We inspect 100% for banana peels and soggy Cheerios before shipping.
3. Shipping charges will not be refunded. But if you are exchanging an item of similar size or value we will not charge shipping on the replacement merchandise. We will send an email when we have received your return and another when we issue the credit or ship the exchanged item.
Backorders:
Although we try to keep everything in stock, occasionally we do run out of an item. Should this happen, we will notify you immediately and you will have the option to cancel the backordered item or we will ship it at no charge once it is available. We will also give you an ETA on the item and will keep you posted should it change.
